The IAM1 Journey’ exhibition StockholmIn 1987, Nike debuted a shoe that would forever change running footwear - the Air Max 1. The visible airbag and lightweight engineering ensured status as the icon of the original running revolution. The ‘The IAM1 Journey’ exhibition charting the evolution of the Air Max from a running shoe to a design classic takes place at The Studio, Åsogatan 115 from the 15th August - 23rd August.
The exhibition features original shoes, and an illustrated time line of the Air Max's rise to iconic status charting its PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE 1987-2009. Fans and collectors from Sweden will display their favorite Air Max 1's and tell their personal stories throughout the exhibition.
